Saint Peter Central Catholic School is a community of learners. We nurture children from Preschool through Grade Eight. We provide a caring atmosphere and a sense of belonging by acknowledging each individual. Within our Catholic, culturally diverse community, we endeavor to enrich and foster the intellect and spirit of all who enter. Our environment encourages children to reinforce their connection to God, to make responsible decisions, and to reach their academic potential.
Uniforms: Summer uniforms are in effect from August 27 thru October 31st: gray uniform shorts, polo shirts, gym shorts (on gym day) and white ankle socks can be worn. Polo shirts are to be worn with short pants only not long pants. Black shoes are still the uniform code. Sweaters are still part of the uniform even with polo shirt. Refer to your handbook for uniform information.
HOT DOG DAY: Back by popular demand! The Auction Committee will host another Hot Dog Day on Thursday, December11. All orders must be in by Monday, December 8. See enclosed order form. We are looking for a few volunteers to help with Hot Dog Day. If you are interested please send a note to the office.
Christmas Fair: A special THANK YOU to Amy O’Farrell and Karen Sklar who co-chaired this magnificent event again this year. Their hard work and dedication to our school is much appreciated. We would also like to thank the many people who serve as booth chairmen. The workload was heavy but your willing hands and ready smiles made the day a very special one for our community. Final totals are incomplete. We will keep you posted. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Turkey/Food Drive: Thank you! Thank you! Thank you to everyone who donated a turkey or a donation to our Turkey Drive. As usual our school went above and beyond to help our neighbor’s at St. Peter’s Church. We collected above our goal of 100 turkeys! The non-perishable food we collected during November went out to families as fast as they came in. In addition to our “Christmas Gifting” we will continue to collect non-perishable food items to help St. Peter’s Parish Prepare for their Christmas Giving. Many of our eighth graders helped to carry the turkeys, food and setup the donation boxes. It is always an enlightening experience for them to see the need of people in our own backyard. We are blessed indeed! As the Administrator, I am delighted that we can “give back” something to Monsignor Scollen and his parish. He is so generous to our school, our needs and our spiritual life. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||
